Wilted Rose started back in late 2005, by Rose Columbia, when the owner of the Angry Ant, Sarah Nerd, allowed me to place some of the very newbish items I had been working on in one of her rental stalls rent free. Once the Ant closed it’s doors I decided to open a real shop. In October of 2007 Wilted Rose got it’s own location,which it soon outgrew.
I moved to my current location and took on a partnership with my close friend Cherry Stillman, owner of Bound Illusions. We expanded and added a small rental plaza with reasonable prices. As our items grew I decided to dedicate a section of the land to just our freebies, and Freebie Jeebies was born.
The main focus of Wilted Rose has always been hair. I love making hair! I wish hair styles and colors could be changed as easily in RL as they are in SL. Shoes and jewelry are also things I have a great interest in creating in SL, which is obvious by the amount of those things compared to my other items.
I try very hard to come up with reasonable pricing for my items and often give out freebies for different occasions, sometimes just because I’m in a good mood. In addition to Freebie Jeebies I have a large section callled The Newbie Section where you can pick up a hair pack for under $20. The Newbie hair can be found in my discount shop. And any interested hair maker or reseller (legit only) is welcome to add their hair packs to the section with a landmark to your shop if you have one.
